His name appears in the Book of Lists as one of the top 20 harp players in the world. Delbert won a Grammy in 1991 for his duet with Bonnie Raitt, "Good Man, Good Woman," and another in 1993 for his duet with Tanya Tucker, entitled "Tell Me About It,". McClinton's voice still has the uncanny ability to transport the listener to a dusty Texas barroom that's soaked in roadhouse blues.
