Jason Boland & The Stragglers Saturday, November 28, 2009 9 pm STRAGGLERS TOY DRIVE 2009: Jason Boland & The Stragglers will once again be accepting new, unwrapped toys that will be donated to a childrens' hospital at Christmas time. For all of those that donate, they will receive a free JB&S tree ornament. Boland hales from Harrah, Oklahoma and carries with him the reputation of being a modern day country music outlaw. Both he and his band have been leaders in the Texas and Oklahoma music scene for many years. Though Jason is the primary songwriter and singer, this is no one-man show. Jason Boland and The Stragglers have always been true: that of self-reliance, determined professionalism and bringing the best music possible to fans. While at first glance Jason Boland and the Stragglers' music may seem easy to stereotype as Texas or Country, intent listening makes it harder to categorize their music easily, revealing the influence of the land and life that got them to where they are.
